Almost 40 business and financial journalists gathered in New York City last week for a luncheon hosted by Hennessy Funds entitled The Case for Japan’s Comeback. November 2012 - Hennessy Funds 5th Annual Press luncheon

More than 30 business and financial journalists gathered in New York City last week for the 5^th annual Hennessy Funds market outlook and investment strategy luncheon. CIO and portfolio manager Neil Hennessy presented his macro thesis, covering topics such as the fiscal cliff, asset flows in the fund industry, and his views on taxes and the regulatory environment. Co-portfolio manager Brian Peery presented the new portfolio for the Hennessy Cornerstone Mid Cap 30 Fund – rated five-stars by Morningstar. The fund has increased its allocation to the consumer discretionary, industrials and materials sectors, citing rising consumer spending and a continued rebound in housing.

Hennessy also unveiled the fund group’s new tagline: “Investing, Uncompromised.” The tagline, which was developed after the FBR Funds acquisition closed, encompasses Hennessy’s continued commitment to the firm’s mutual fund shareholders – acting in their best interests by offering funds with compelling historical performance and top-tier client service.
