Almost 40 business and financial journalists
gathered in New York City last week for a luncheon hosted by Hennessy Funds
entitled The Case for Japan’s Comeback. Neil Hennessy, CIO and Portfolio
Manager of Hennessy Funds, Shuhei Abe, Chairman and CIO of SPARX Group Co.,
Ltd. and Masakazu Takeda, Portfolio Manager of the Hennessy Japan Fund
presented their views on the resurgence of the Japanese equity market as well
as the themes shaping the portfolio of the 2013 Lipper Award winning Hennessy
Japan Fund (HJPIX). They covered topics including Japan’s comeback and the
outlook for Japan’s economy going forward. All three presenters spoke about the
